Make a difference – Volunteer at the Copenhagen Historical Market

As a volunteer, you get the opportunity to experience the market in a very special way. You get to get behind the curtain, experience the festive evenings by the fire and become part of an amazing community.

We promise:

  • An amazing community
  • The opportunity to make YOUR mark on the historical market.
  • Free catering and the option to stay overnight in shared tents.
  • Free access to the market when you’re not on duty.
  • Volunteer activities such as volunteer parties and the like.

We expect you to:

  • Good mood and drive.
  • That you are on the market at least 2 of the 4 opening days.

All volunteers are divided into different teams with different tasks. When you sign up, you can choose which team(s) you would like to join.

It’s also possible to help with set-up or take-down, we can always use more help. So if you’d like to hone your tent skills and build a lot of installations, please sign up to help us before/after the market. There will of course be catering and the possibility to stay overnight.

If you receive public benefits, you should be aware that a number of rules may apply when it comes to the amount and type of volunteering you can do. You can read a comprehensive guide on the rules for volunteering while receiving public benefits, here.
